Validation and testing of the equipment in your practice is an important part of the service that you provide to your patients. Our services allow you to have confidence that the equipment and devices that you are using are performing accurately and in accordance with the parameters that they are designed to meet and also that they meet the relevant standards that apply to NZ based primary healthcare providers.
We work in accordance with the following standards:
- AS/NZS 3551 “Technical Management Program For Medical Devices”
- AS/NZS 4187 “Reprocessing Of Reusable Medical Devices”
The 3551 standard covers all aspects of medical equipment from procurement to maintenance through to disposal, the 4187 standard specifically covers sterilization and the use of benchtop autoclaves.
How do we do this? We come to you on site and methodically work our way through your equipment individually checking and verifying that it is working correctly. Our biomedical technicians will also carry out any minor repairs where necessary on site. We document everything and this information is then printed with a summary at the front in a bound format and provided to you. This gives you both a comprehensive equipment register and an easy to read report with details of each item of equipment within the report.
We have the equipment and the technical expertise to check and calibrate almost any item in your practice, the list below is a sample of the products that we commonly do:
