Biological Indicator Spore Test – BT20

Biological Monitoring involves processing a quantity of bacteria spores with a known culture in your autoclave and then placing them in an incubator for 24 hours. The spores will change colour in a positive result and proves the lethality of your sterile process in killing the bacteria.

We can carry out spore testing for you on an annual basis or more regularly as a part of your autoclave validation procedure or alternatively you can purchase the incubator and spore tests and do the testing yourself.
